Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe Star in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” in London; First Images from the Production Released

According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe, known for Hamnet, The Night Manager, and A Quiet Place, are preparing for their first stage experience in London’s West End in the classic tragedy Romeo and Juliet, directed by Robert Icke.

Ahead of the Tuesday press night, Empire Street Productions released the first official images of the production on Monday at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London. The show will run at this venue through Saturday, June 20.

Sadie Sink, who gained widespread recognition for her role as Max Mayfield in the popular Netflix series, was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for her role in the film The Whale and will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. She began her stage career on Broadway in Annie and was nominated last year for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in John Proctor Is the Villain.

Alongside Jupe as Romeo and Sink as Juliet, the cast includes Jamie Enkraah as Peter, Dylan Corbett-Bader as Benvolio, Eden Epstein as Lady Capulet, Alex Felton as Abraham, Clark Gregg (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) as Capulet, Ada Grey (Chicago Fire) as First Servant, Casper Hilton-Hill as Friar John/Mercutio, Arona Jallow as Tybalt, John Marquez (Doc Martin) as Friar Lawrence, Caroline Moroney as Second Servant, Claire Perkins as Nurse, David Shelley as Apothecary/Montague, Lewis Shepard as Paris, and Alexander Ozouka as Gregory.

In addition to Icke (Oedipus, The Doctor), the creative team includes costume designer Hildegard Bechtler (After the Dance – Olivier Award), lighting designer John Clark (The Lehman Trilogy – Tony Award), sound designer Giles Thomas (Kenrex), video designer Ash J Woodward (Paddington The Musical), casting directors Julia Horan and Jim Carnahan (Oedipus), voice coaches Penny Dyer (Hello Dolly!) and Nick Tramble (Player Kings), fight director Kev McCordy (Les Misérables), movement director Polly Bennett (The Lehman Trilogy), assistant directors, wardrobe, makeup, stage equipment personnel, and the production management team.
